NATIONAL FEDERATION OF EMPLOYERS OF THE DISABLED

NFRI was registered in 2000 as a legal entity with a non-profit purpose of public benefit

The main purpose of the federation is to support, encourage and coordinate the efforts of its members to improve the conditions and expand the employment of people with disabilities and their inclusion in society.

The Federation represents and protects the interests of its members-specialized enterprises before the state and public bodies and organizations. Our desire is to create opportunities for able-bodied people with disabilities to exercise their qualities and skills in social and economic life.

Specialized enterprises contribute to preventing the long-term and permanent exclusion of people with disabilities by focusing on the individual's capabilities and participation in social and work responsibilities. They help the process of social inclusion, solidarity and respect for the skills and abilities of each individual.

Our role is to support and assist employers who employ people with disabilities. Role and Activities The efforts of the National Federation of Employers of the Disabled are aimed at:

. integration and labor rehabilitation; . strengthening and increasing the capacity of specialized enterprises, assistance and coordination of the efforts of specialized enterprises with a view to seeking better market positions and opportunities for employment of people with disabilities, including through various local and international exhibitions and forums;

. organizing the exchange of information necessary for social inclusion, cooperation and improving working conditions for people with disabilities;

. increasing the competitiveness of specialized enterprises for people with disabilities;

. creating prerequisites for improving production and economic results in companies by renewing technologies and machine park based on participation in business competitions;

. improving the access of specialized enterprises to participation in projects under national and European funds and programs

. preparation and consultations on the introduction of European standards;

. information service for its members, organization of training courses, qualification and retraining of employed persons with disabilities and the management staff of specialized enterprises;

. exchange of information through the NFRI Information Bulletin;

. promoting the entrepreneurship of disabled people by starting an independent business;

.increasing the degree of awareness of the society about the possibilities of people with disabilities and changing the attitudes of employers towards the employment of people with disabilities by organizing national and regional forums.

Integration and labor rehabilitation For the person with a disability, there is a need for help in adapting to everyday life, and when this is possible, to return to his previous way of life. In this sense, the need to ensure rehabilitation and integration comes to the fore so that people with disabilities can achieve and maintain an optimal level of activity and independence, securing income and a dignified life.

In this regard, NFRI takes care for inclusion in employment of people with disabilities and implementation of the state policy for the integration of persons with disabilities through employment. In recent years, both in our country and in the member countries, there is a large and growing number of people who have lost all contact with the labor market and are completely dependent on social benefits.

One of the priorities for the member states is "preventive measures against exclusion from the labor market ” and “reducing the costs of social security” by “reducing the large number of people receiving disability benefits through their full participation in the labor market through reintegration and the removal of barriers”. The data from the National Employment Action Plans of the EU member states show that the employment of disabled people is significantly decreasing, that the gap between the unemployment of disabled people and that of the working population is widening. The total employment of the working population in these countries is approximately 60%. According to data taken from the National Program for Employment and Vocational Training of People with Permanent Disabilities, the number of people with disabilities registered in the Directorates of the "Labor Bureau" seeking assistance in finding a suitable job or enrolling in qualification courses is increasing in our country.

According to the above problematic, the activity of the federation is directed in two main directions:

* methodical management, control and assistance in the implementation of various labor rehabilitation activities of specialized enterprises - mainly labor-professional, social, cultural and sports activities.
